New coloured primers from Metalux 2

ChemSpec is excited to announce another fantastic innovation in car refinish. We are launching six new coloured primers that can be mixed together to make almost any colour in the spectrum. These colours are white, black, red, yellow, blue and green.

The new primers are extremely cost-effective as they provide a correctly coloured surface onto which the basecoat can be applied. The result is excellent coverage before top-coating which means you use less topcoat and in turn save money. The coloured primers also mask stone chipping, making the overall refinish more durable.

Car manufacturers often use pigmented primers in production, where the primed surface is not top coated inside bonnets etc. The new Metalux 2 coloured primers are therefore perfect for refinishing these surfaces, as an exact match can easily be achieved, whilst retaining the integrity of the original finish.

The new primers feature exceptional performance with easy sanding and fantastic adhesion to a variety of surfaces.

Rest assured that we have left no stone unturned when it comes to easy reference. We have created a swatch book with approximately 100 colours which all cross-reference to a colour formulation on EasiMix. So, the process is simple: flick through the swatch book, choose a colour, punch the code into EasiMix, weigh it and spray it.

What’s more is that these primers can also be used by themselves if so desired. They are completely compatible with all other 2K HS filler primers in the Metalux 2 range and can be applied wet-on-wet to achieve faster throughput.
